I took some time off after my last gig to dedicate myself to learning and projects I’d never attempt to implement while having some full-time commitment. Mostly I’m spending my time on:

• Managed and optimized IT infrastructure.
• Supervised and mentored in-house production and R&D teams.
• Maintained and optimized customer-facing high-load systems (web analytics, ad networks, web portals).
• Worked on creation of new Ad formats and improving existing proprietary Ad networks (native advertising, social and demographic targeting, retargeting, RTB system, video advertising).

• Spinned off from RailsReactor with 3 team members and joined Apptopia startup of 2 bright minded founders.
• Built­up original team of 9 top­notch engineers (grown to 12 people divided by 3 departments).
• Leading and mentoring engineering team, running local office, prototyping and implementing few MVPs during pivoting period.
• Continuously worked on improvement and development of Apptopia marketplace.
• Later separated from marketplace team and started running Data Team Department which was actively growing business direction.
• Main focus shifted to the area of “big data” aggregation, post­processing and analytics. Building and improving highly­ loaded cluster of heterogeneous data storages and post­processing components.
• Also was responsible for development, scaling and maintenance of automated cloud infrastructure (devops) which is backing our Web and Backend projects.

• Participated in product design and business development.
• Built cloud infrastructure for social data mining.
• Designed machine learning algorithms for user content and created videos recommendation engine.
• Implemented backend and API for mobile application.
• Supervised mobile development team.

• Joined as a team member and shortly started leading team of few engineers on development crowdsourcing platform Vestify (few months after Kickstarter was launched).
• Became a VP of Engineering, was running local office, took part in strategic business decisions, built and mentored few project teams.
• Developed bunch of web projects mostly using Ruby on Rails.
• Took active part as tech-advisor to our clients (we were focusing on helping startup companies with no technical expertise).

• Being first technical team member of just launched company I started building a team, established local office, and bootstrapped two financial platforms ABS and ARMS.
• My partner had a strong understanding and product vision and together we built highly scalable and secure solution (ABS Platform) for banking and investment institutions. The platform was targeting problems with of reliable and transparent management of CDOs and products built on top of that.
• Few weeks later we launched another product ARMS, that was providing financial rank data aggregation and analytics solution on top of that data.
• Both project discontinued due to another World crisis wave. Investments were put on hold at some point and built projects never made it to become industry standard.

• Was part of Jemistry team (agile department).
• Proactively learnt and experimented with Agile practices (XP, TDD, BDD, Pair programming..).
• Built lots of internal and external projects for GlobalLogic (mostly Web based).
• Was part of Telcordia team and was responsible for building components for telecom software (server-­side Java).

• Developed and lead development of mobile maps applications for Symbian, Palm PC, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile.
• Designed and implemented few proprietary GIS algorithms, built high-­performance 3D World models for mobile platforms.
• Google launched its Maps same year and we started losing market positions. Company has discontinued development.

• Joined company as senior software engineer and quickly made it to team lead positions.
• Was leading teams of Java and .NET developers.
• Built few projects for Russian government IT infrastructure and Lukoil company (oil transportation logistics and stealing detection system)

• Designed and developed hardware and software for human heart activity monitoring devices (24h ECG and Blood Pressure monitoring).
• Optimised existing hardware performance and storage capabilities.
• Created PC software with in-house designed algorithms for automated decease diagnosis basing on ECG and Blood Pressure recordings of portable monitoring devices.
